We had our wedding here and I cannot recommend Red Lion Inn enough for an intimate wedding. We had about 30 people and the inn was the perfect size. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the quaintness of the rooms, the excellent service and the high quality food. As a wedding venue, the staff were outstanding, very attentive to our needs and accommodating. They took care of absolutely everything in such a way that we were able to fully enjoy the day. Having the wedding in the inn also meant that every photo has a beautiful and unique background. We can't wait to visit again next year for our one year anniversary! Thank you to all of the excellent, kind, caring and professional staff at the Red Lion Inn for making our special day PERFECT!

We stayed at the Inn last fall, booked a suite for myself and 3 friends. While the Inn is lovely, there were several things that left me feeling like it was not worth the money.
The first night we arrived at dinner time, and decided to eat at the Inn. The prices and portions were extreme opposite - ridiculously expensive and with tiny portions and mediocre quality. For 3 people and only 2 meals - one a dry turkey sandwich, another was a vegetarian entree, a shared salad, 2 tiny glasses of wine, and a tiny slice of pecan pie we paid $140! I am well aware of prices eating out, but I was stunned. If it had been excellent quality and decent portions, I wouldn't be writing this review.
The suite was was ok, and knowing it's an old inn, we didn't expect a luxury room, but for the $500+ per night rate they charge, it was not worth the money. There was also a reduced rate at that time, and even though I'd booked way in advance, but they refuse to change the rate, regardless of specials.
Last issue - there were 4 of us, and we specifically left on the Do Not Disturb as we had a lot of belongings in the room and didn't want it cleaned. Not only did they ignore it and clean, but they put the pull out sofa bed away (which was hard to open) removed the extra blanket we'd taken off the bed as there were no blankets in the room for the sofa bed, and moved our stuff around. We spent almost $1400 for TWO nights, which is close to Ritz rates, and expected way better.
Lovely town, relaxing stay, enjoyed the open area in the main floor in the evening, but will never stay at the Inn again.

We ordered off an overpriced snack menu; yet eally slow service for food
, and really wierd service, too. Attempting to eat charcuterie out of a plastic box was gross. No plates for charcuterie meant I was kind of eating it off the table- gross as it was not particularly clean. The seafood charcuterie came with a can if something covered in mesh with no tool; I pulled out my pocketknife from my purse to open it. It's camping and not the glamorous kind. We were there at 3 PM, and other people around us also received plastic boxes. Gross and disgusting presentation. Way overpriced. Not fancy, not pleasant. The plastic and no plates was the worst.
We wanted a short break driving across states after a funeral. We waited a long time. People kept interrupting our much-needed break to ask us where the bar is and other stuff because it's unclear when one comes in.
The woman's bathroom is a long, long way away from the eating area, (the men's restroom is close by, go figure), so I was stumbling around with seafood charcuterie on my hands through crowds milling about for a while before I could find it. It was really uncomfortable.
Charming decor, though. Maybe they just give up on food service and focus on being a museum?

Such a beautiful and historic inn with the most amazing antiques and artwork. Bonus points for the two sweet resident cats, Jack & Jane. We stayed in December during a busy weekend and the staff kept everything running smoothly and were so friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean with a lovely view of one of the outdoor Christmas trees. Great food, service, and ambience in the tavern and main dining room. Fun cocktails and live music in the Lion’s Den. The inn shops provided a nice variety of high-quality, unique merchandise—perfect for holiday shopping. We’re already planning a return trip.

Otelin köy evlerinden birinde kraliçe yataklı bir süit (Veranda Süiti) tuttuk. Bazı evcil hayvan dostu odaları olduğu için köpeklerimizi de getirebildik. 10. evlilik yıldönümümüz içindi ve bize bir şişe şarap ve çok güzel bir not bıraktılar. Ana yemek salonunda geç bir öğle yemeği yedik - garsonumuz güler yüzlü ve yeterince ilgiliydi. Yemekler lezzetliydi ve sıcak elma şarabı (biraz romlu) soğuk bir kış gününde çok iyi geldi!! Giriş işlemlerimiz sorunsuz geçti ve oda temizliği personeli çok nazikti ve ihtiyacımız olan her şeye sahip olduğumuzdan emin oldular. Tekrar gelmek için sabırsızlanıyoruz!!

Geçen akşam burada çok hayal kırıklığı yaratan bir deneyim yaşadık. Sipariş ettiğimiz iki ana yemek sossuz geldi, diğeri ise hiç gelmedi. Unutulan yemeği bize "aceleyle" getirdiler ama geldiğinde diğer yemekleri çoktan bitirmiştik. Servis çok yavaştı, sipariş verdiğimiz andan yemeklerin gelmesine kadar yaklaşık 40 dakika geçti. Tatlı gelmeden önce yemek tabaklarımızı toplamadılar ve garsonun bizden kaçınmaya başladığı anlaşılıyor çünkü önce her 5 dakikada bir su dolduruyorlardı ama yemeğin sonunda birini çağırmak zorunda kaldık. Yemekler de hayal kırıklığı yarattı; yanlış servis edilmesinin yanı sıra ördek lezzetsiz ve iyi pişmemişti ve tatlı olarak sipariş ettiğimiz pasta neredeyse yenmez, aşırı kuruydu. Bir yönetici her şeyin nasıl olduğunu sormaya geldi ama garson tatlımızı aceleyle servis etmek için onu böldü, bu yüzden doğru düzgün şikayet bile edemedik. Çok hoş ve romantik bir atmosfer. Çok gürültülü değil. Kara lahana ve armut salatası, özellikle de üzerine taze rendelenmiş peynirle birlikte muhteşemdi. Bonfile çok lezzetliydi. Kızarmış tavuk kesinlikle suluydu. Tatlılar, sıcak esmer şekerli kek ve cevizli turta aldığımız için A+ idi. Servis mükemmeldi ve şef çok misafirperver ve nazikti. Mutlaka gitmelisiniz!!
